I wondered about "did you ever" and "have you ever", and I have found above topic from stackexchange.
conclusion: "did you ever" ask about the finished time, but "have you ever" ask about the time until this present moment, i.e. "Did you ever met Elvis Presley?" and "Have you ever met Celine Dion?". The both example can't use as the stand-in of each other, because we ṣtill able to meet Celine Dion, but Elvis Presley.
